GE pulls out of Russia
General Electric (GE) announced on March 8 it was suspending its operations in Russia, "with the exception of providing essential medical equipment and supporting existing power services to people in the region."
The US engineering giant is one of hundreds of Western companies to announce plans to leave Russia in the wake of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. It primarily works in the country's power generation sector, providing gas turbines and other equipment to plants.
