GDF Suez Works on Listing for GGT Subsidiary
France’s GDF Suez confirmed the possibility of listing its Gaztransport & Technigaz (GGT) subsidiary.
"The decision has not yet been taken, but I can confirm that we are working on it," Chief Executive Gerard Mestrallet said at the Actionaria shareholders conference as reported by Reuters.
GDF would maintain shares of GGT. At the moment, GDF Suez (40%), Total (30%) and private equity fund Hellman & Friedman (30%) are the only three shareholders.
GTT is an engineering company formed in 1994 by the merger of the two major players in the field of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) membrane containment systems: Gaztransport and S.N.Technigaz.
The company is the top producer of cryogenic hull linings for tankers that carry Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
