Gazprom’s Miller Meets OMV, ENGIE, French Official

After meeting the Chief of Staff of the President of France on Thursday, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, went to Austria to meet with Rainer Seele, Chairman of the OMV Executive Board. 

The two signed a Memorandum of Understanding on oil supply, and discussed further cooperation opportunities.  

‘The parties discussed the cooperation in Nord Stream 2 and the potential asset swap’ reads a note released on Friday.  

On Thursday, Miller met with French heavyweights - French official Jean-Pierre Jouyet and Gerard Mestrallet, Chairman and CEO of ENGIE.

‘The parties noted that the Nord Stream 2 project would strongly boost the reliability of gas supplies to Europe’ Gazprom wrote on Thursday.
