Gazprom to Halt Armenian Gas for 4 Days
Gazprom plans to halt gas supplies to Armenia for four days starting on June 2 so that repair work can take place at the North Caucasus-Transcaucasus and Krasny Most-Berd pipelines, it said on June 1.
During the downtime, gas supplies to Armenian consumers will not be disrupted. Gazprom operates an underground gas storage (UGS) facility in Armenia's capital Yerevan.
Armenia is among several former Soviet states heavily reliant on Gazprom's gas that have asked for cheaper supplies in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
