Gazprom, NIGC Look to Cooperate in Natural Gas Space
National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) is ready to cooperate with Gazprom in the natural gas sector, company managing director Hamid-Reza Araqi said.
“It is evident that the world needs gas and that Iran and Russia can use such a rich capacity to pursue their joint objectives in this field,” Araqi told Iranian state owned media outlet Shana following a meeting with Gazprom’s deputy chairman of the Management Committee, Alexander Medvedev in Tehran on Wednesday.
Araqi said CNG can be another area of bilateral cooperation between NIGC and Gazprom.
The two companies will hold several rounds of talks to review cooperation areas under five committees NIGC director of international relations, Azizollah Ramezani said prior to the first round of meetings with the 25-member Russian delegation, Shana reported.
