Gazprom: EU Satisfied with Polish-Russian Gas Deal

Gazprom has reported that the European Commission is satisfied with the outcome of Polish-Russia talks regarding long-term gas supplies to Poland.

EU Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger reportedly stated this in Moscow during a meeting with Gazprom president, Alexei Miller.

The deal which makes Gaz-System the operator of the Polish part of the Yamal pipeline (owned by Polish-Russian company EuRoPol Gaz) was discussed by Poland’s deputy PM and Economy Minister Waldemar Pawlak with EU commissioner Guenther Oettinger and Russian energy minister Sergei Shmatko on Monday, Pawlak told Rzeczpospolita daily.
