Gasum's LNG bunkering vessel Coralius completes 800th bunker operation
Nordic energy company Gasum announced on July 6 that its LNG bunkering vessel Coralius recently completed its 800th bunkering operation.
The milestone operation took place in Skaw in Denmark with the crude oil tanker Ran DF, operated by Norwegian energy company Equinor. Launched in September 2017, Coralius is owned by Anthony Veder and Sirius Shipping.
Over the years, the vessel has bunkered both LNG and liquefied biogas for a wide variety of vessels, including oil tankers, car carriers, shuttle tankers, dry cargo carriers, cruise ships, expedition vessels, and ferries.
In May this year, Coralius completed its inaugural ship-to-ship LNG bunker deliveries at the port of Travemunde, Germany. During this operation, the vessel supplied a total of 700 tonnes of LNG to the sister vessels Baltic Enabler and Botnia Enabler, owned by Swedish shipping company Wallenius Sol. These deliveries also marked the first-ever LNG bunker transactions in the port of Travemunde.
