Gas Malaysia Hikes Tariff
Malaysian gas retailer Gas Malaysia December 26 said it has received regulatory approval to set higher natural gas tariff for the non-power sector in Peninsular Malaysia for the period January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Gas Malaysia said the average base tariff for the six month period would increase to ringgit 32.92/mn Btu ($7.8/mn Btu) from ringgit 32.69/mn at present, an increase of 0.7%.
Gas Malaysia supplies natural gas and LPG to homes, commercial businesses and industries in Malaysia. Apart from the general public, its shareholders include MMC Corporation, Tokyo Gas, and Petronas Gas.
