Galilee, Alinta to work on Glenaras gas project
Sydney-listed Galilee Energy has entered into a heads of agreement (HoA) with Australian utility Alinta Energy to collaborate on domestic gas supply opportunities from the Glenaras gas project in Queensland, it said on March 25.
“Galilee is committed to working with potential customers to supply natural gas that will help to support the gas-led recovery and assist in the creation of sustainable employment for Queenslanders,” managing director Peter Lansom said. “This HoA with Alinta Energy is a crucial step towards Galilee becoming a material supplier of gas to the east coast market.”

The Glenaras gas project is located in ATP 2019, which is 100% owned and operated by Galilee. The permit covers an area of approximately 3,200 km2.
Galilee sanctioned a pump optimisation programme at the Glenaras project last month. This programme will involve installing larger pumps in the vertical wells to increase water rates by fully drawing down the wells.
