FueLNG completes bunkering and cooling ops for Seatrium Floating Living Lab

FueLNG’s LNG bunker ship FueLNG Venosa completed the gassing up and cooling down (GUCD) and LNG bunkering of the Seatrium floating living lab at the Seatrium Benoi yard, FueLNG said on February 26.

The Seatrium floating living lab shall play a role in the trial of many new technologies, paving the way for a more sustainable and innovative power production, Harbercraft electrification and low carbon fueling for vessels, FueLNG said.

Built by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. and chartered from Korea Line LNG Co., the FueLNG Venosa vessel has a total capacity of 18,000 m3. The vessel is designed to facilitate safe and quick turnaround of vessels carrying out simultaneous cargo handling and bunkering operations; and is capable of bunkering different types of LNG fuel tanks.

Besides bunkering operations, FueLNG Venosa also provides gas-up and cool-down services to LNG carriers and LNG-fuelled vessels after dry docking in Singapore or en route to loading operations.

FueLNG is a joint venture between Shell and Seatrium.
