FueLNG completes 200th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation
Singapore-based FueLNG, a joint venture between Seatrium Offshore & Marine and Shell, has successfully completed its 200th ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation, the company announced on July 1.
The operation was conducted by FueLNG Venosa, delivering 9,000 m³ of LNG fuel to CMA CGM Bahia on June 29 at the Raffles Reserve Anchorage in Singapore. This vessel is part of a new generation of six CMA CGM containerships featuring biomethane and e-methane ready engines and an enhanced aerodynamic design.
FueLNG Venosa has a total capacity of 18,000 m3. The vessel is designed to facilitate the safe and quick turnaround of vessels carrying out simultaneous cargo handling and bunkering operations and is capable of bunkering different types of LNG fuel tanks.
FueLNG completed its 100th LNG bunkering operation in October last year, achieved during the bunkering of global mining company Anglo American’s vessel Ubuntu Humanity by FueLNG Bellina at the very large crude carrier anchorage.
