Franklin Takes the Helm of Cuadrilla Resources
Roy Franklin, who worked at BP for 18 years, has been appointed as the new Chairman of UK-focused Cuadrilla Resources.
‘Mr Franklin joined the board of Cuadrilla Resources in 2012 and will take up his new post with immediate effect’ reads a note released on Wednesday.
A geologist by training, Franklin joined the advisory board of Kerogen Partners, which is a major investor in AJ Lucas, a Cuadrilla shareholder, in 2011.
Franklin replaces John Browne, who has been recently appointed as chairman of LetterOne, the investment vehicle owned by Russian businessman Mikhail Fridman.
EUROPA OIL & GAS
Also on Wednesday, Europa Oil & Gas said it was ‘poised to see an increase in production, revenue and cashflow.’
Nonetheless, in its interim results for the six month period ended 31 January 2015, Europa Oil & Gas announced revenue at £1.3 million, down from £2.1 million in the same period of one year before.
“We are confident the momentum that has been established across our portfolio of multistage projects will be maintained in the second half of 2015 and beyond: a CPR on our Irish and UK licences; an extended well test on the Wressle discovery that may lead to a fast track development; and the results of our applications in the 14th UK onshore licensing round are anticipated following the general election” Europa’s CEO, Hugh Mackay commented.
