Standart News: First sod of South Stream within a month

The first sod of the South Stream pipeline will take place within a month, in the Montana village of Rasovo, "Coalition for Bulgaria" deputy Vidin Filip Popov told Radio Focus, Standart daily reports.

The construction of the pipeline on Bulgarian territory will begin with a compressor station, Popov informed.

The first version of the route was already approved, which will not cause irreparable damage to the ecosystem near the pipe.

The interest on the loan for the construction of the South Stream will be reduced to about 4% to 4.6%, instead of the initially announced 8%, the MP reminded.  MORE
