Financial Times: BG to delay boost in US shale gas output

BG Group became the latest energy group to scale back its US shale gas plans on Thursday, after booming production of the fuel depressed prices.

BG followed in the footsteps of Norway’s Statoil and Royal Dutch Shell in moderating its enthusiasm for shale gas, which is released from rock by a controversial process involving the pumping of water and chemicals underground.  MORE (Registration required)
