Exoma Spuds Prairie-1 Well Seeking CBM
Exoma Energy of Australia spudded its sixth well as part of its exploration campaign in Queensland’s onshore Galilee basin.
The Prairie-1 well, the first one in its ATP 996P permit area would target coal bed methane in the Permian Betts Creek and the Aramac coal measures, the company said in an announcement on Monday.
Located 90 kms north of Longreach, the well will be drilled to a total depth of 1430 metres with coal measures to be cored for desorption testing.
Exoma has a 50% stake in both the permit areas, with China National Offshore Oil Corporation earning the balance participating interest through a farm-in.
