Equinor Awards Raft of Contracts
Equinor has awarded contracts to Norsea Group, Saga Fjordbase and Asco Norge for services at seven supply bases in Norway relating to its offshore projects, it said on November 11.
The contracts will run from July 1 2021 for two years, and are worth a combined kroner 1.4bn ($150mn), Equinor said. Their scope includes terminal and warehouse services. The three suppliers have been working with Equinor since 2015 under framework agreements.
Equinor added on November 12 it had awarded concept study contracts for the Wisting oil discovery in the Barents Sea, which it hopes to take a final investment decision on by the end of 2022. Contracts for the project's floating production storage and offloading unit went to Aker Solutions, KBR, Sevan SSP and Aibel, while Aker Solutions, TechnipFMC, OneSubsea Processing, IKM Ocean Design and Kongsberg Maritime have been hired to design its subsea production and processing equipment, umbilical, risers and flowlines.
On November 10, Equinor also awarded three contracts worth $455mn to Baker Hughes, Halliburton and Schlumberger for drilling and well services at the Bacalhau oilfield in Brazil.
