Eni Ready to Sell Stake in German Natural Gas Transmission Networks
Italy’s Eni is intentioned to sell its stake in the German natural gas transmission networks, writes newspaper Stuttgarter Zeitung on Tuesday.
Eni holds 50% stake in the gas networks controlling Gasversorgung Sueddeutschland (GSV) and Terranets BW. The remaining 50% is in the hands of EnBW, controlled by the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and nine local municipalities.
According to the newspaper, the deal could be worth a triple-digit million euro.
Wholesale power prices’ slump and calm energy demand in Germany could make the transaction more complicated.
