EDF Trading Appoints Business Head

EDF Trading, a wholly-owned subsidiary of French state-controlled EDF, has appointed David Katzinski with effect from June 1 as its global head of business development, it said. He reports to CCO Philipp Bussenschutt, initially in London before moving to Houston for a year. This is a new role which will focus on developing partnerships for the procurement, supply and trading of power, fuels and feedstocks including gas and LPG, EDF Trading said. 

Katzinski first joined EDFT in 2001 and was responsible for some of the early foundation transactions. He has an in-depth knowledge of its products and services, Bussenschutt said.  Before this new job, Katzinski was head of natural gas products at German energy trader Mabanaft.
