Drilling Activities at South Pars Phase 14 39% Complete

Drilling activities at phase 14 of Iran’s South Pars gas field are nearly 39 percent complete, according to an official working on the project.

Hamid-Reza Shafiei Mokvand, director of drilling of phase 14, said 44 wells are predicted to be drilled in phase 14, adding that 2 appraisal wells have already been drilled and 20 development wells are being drilled by National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), reports Shana News Agency.

He said that a second offshore drilling rig is being transferred to phase 14 of South Pars for accelerated work, adds Shana.

Phase 14 of South Pars is expected to produce 56.5 mcm/d of sour gas and 75,000 b/d of gas condensate.
