Cyprus Mail: Our View - Time for a New Outlandish Gas Plan?

Commerce minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis is not doing himself or the government any favours by claiming the discovery of the biggest ever deposits of natural gas in the Mediterranean – in the Egyptian EEZ – would not adversely affect Cyprus’ plans to sell gas to Egypt. Apart from not being a very intelligent reaction, it underlines the superficial and slapdash way in which he has always treated the issue of natural gas.
