Cue Energy Expects to Spud Banambu Deep-1 in May

Cue Energy Resources has said that Banambu Deep-1 natural gas well in the offshore Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia is expected to spud in mid-May.

The Banambu Deep-1 target was identified after a comprehensive study of the seismic data available in respect of permit WA-389-P.

The prospect is located outboard of the giant Rankin trend gas fields and on trend with the Wheatstone and Pluto fields.

The well which is operated by Woodside will use the Ocean America semi-submersible drilling rig to drill the well to a total depth of 4800 metres. This is expected to take about 60 days.
