Croatian FSRU Sets off for Commissioning Cargo
The floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) that will serve at Croatia's first LNG import terminal has set off to secure a commissioning cargo, project operator LNG Croatia said on November 21.
The FSRU has departed the Viktor Lenac shipyard, bound for the Spanish port of Sagunto, where it will obtain the cargo. It should arrive at Krk island, the site of the LNG terminal, in early December, in preparation for commercial start-up on January 1 2021.
The Krk terminal will have a capacity of around 2.6bn m3/year, the bulk of which has been booked by Qatar-based Power Globe. Qatar plans a significant expansion in its liquefaction capability over the next decade.
