Corinth to supply pipes for Fenix gas field off Argentina
Greece's Corinth Pipeworks has been hired by TotalEnergies and its partners Wintershall Dea and Pan American Sur to build and supply 40 km of welded steel pipes for an export pipeline at the Fenix gas field off the coast of Argentina, it said on September 27.
TotalEnergies and its partners took a final investment decision on developing the $700mn Fenix gas project earlier this month. It is the world's southernmost field to be developed.

Corinth will manufacture the 24'' longitudinally submerged arc welded steel pipes at its facilities in Greece, and installation is set to start in 2023. The company will also provide external 3LPE anti-corrosion coating and concrete weight coating.
"We've made fantastic progress in offshore markets in recent years. We look forward to working with the TotalEnergies team in Argentina to make sure this is a successful project," Corinth CEO Ilias Bekiros said in a statement.
Feniz lies in the Cuenca Marina Austral licence operated by TotalEnergies. Production is due to begin in 2025 and reach 10mn m3/day.
