Energy security is at the forefront of political debate today, and so it should be. Governments have a basic responsibility to ensure that the lights stay on in our homes and that the energy sector can generate the electricity required to drive the economy, in turn acting as an engine for wealth and job creation.
But energy security does not come about by accident. It is the product of long-term planning, consistent policy, predictable and stable regulation and, above all, significant amounts of investment on the part of energy providers, such as ScottishPower and the wider Iberdrola Group. MORE
