CNPC Expands Dina-2 Gas Field
Chinese state-owned CNPC has expanded the gas processing capacity of Dina-2 gas field in Xinjiang region by 25%, it said December 4.
Dina-2 gas processing plant will now be able to process 20mn m3/d of gas instead of 16mn m3/d earlier. Dina-2 gas field is part of the Tarim Oilfield in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and is operated by PetroChina Tarim Oilfield, a unit of CNPC.
Tarim Oilfield is one of the main gas sources for the West-East Gas Pipeline and is currently supplying gas to 120 large and medium-sized cities, including Shanghai and Beijing, in 15 provinces and cities in northern China.
Last week CNPC said Tarim Oilfield is producing 78.16mn m3/d of gas, up from 76.55mn m3/d earlier.
