CNOOC, Bureau Veritas sign strategic cooperation agreement

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the largest offshore oil and gas producer in China, has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Bureau Veritas (BV), BV announced on November 16.

The agreement will focus on scientific and technological innovation, green and low-carbon transformation, LNG and new energies, and mid- and downstream industries. The two parties will also work on the development of high-quality, sustainable, and low-carbon technologies.

This strategic partnership between CNOOC and BV is expected to accelerate the development of China's offshore oil and gas industry and contribute to the country's goals of achieving carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions, BV said.
