Output Inches Up At China's Tarim Field
The Tarim oilfield, one of China’s biggest upstream projects, increased its output by 1.36% year on year in the first six months of 2019 to 14.35mn metric tons (mt) of oil equivalent, its state-owned operator CNPC said on July 9.
CNPC said it expected its full-year production target of more than 28mn mt for the project to be reached. The field in China's northwestern Xinjiang province flowed a record 26.73mn mt of oil equivalent in 2018, up 5% year on year. It is operated by CNPC's PetroChina Tarim Oilfield subsidiary.
