China’s Xinjiang Guanghui Petroleum to Build LNG Plant in Kazakhstan
China’s Xinjiang Guanghui Petroleum Co is expected to start work on LNG plant in Kostanay region of Kazakhstan, AKIpress reported Wednesday citing regional press service.
The plant will have capacity of 100 million cubic meters a year which could go up to 300 mcm.
Kostanay’s governor Nuraly Saduakasov met with the deputy director of the Xinjiang Guanghui Petroleum to discuss the details of the project, AKIpress said.
In September 2009, Xinjiang Guanghui acquired a 49 percent stake in Kazakh Tarbagatay Munay (TBM) to develop an oil and gas block in the Zayan.
