China's LNG imports up 36% in March

China imported 5.64mn metric tons (mt) of LNG in March, up 36.5% year/year, according to the latest data published by the country's customs department.

During the three months through March 31 (Q1), LNG imports were 19.55mn mt, up 28.8% yr/yr. China’s pipeline imports in March were 3.08mn mt, up 13% yr/yr, the data showed. During Q1 pipeline imports were 9.84mn mt, up 4.6% yr/yr.
