China's LNG imports down 12% in January-February

Chinese LNG imports in January and February came in at 11.12mn metric tons, down 11.9% year/year, customs department data published on March 20 said.

Asia’s biggest economy imported 5.12mn mt of LNG in February, up 8.2% yr/yr. China’s pipeline gas imports last month dropped 7.2% yr/yr to 3.45mn mt, the data showed. The pipeline gas import volumes during January and February were down 5.2% yr/yr to 6.81mn mt.
