China's Gas Imports Via Central Asia Gas Pipeline Crosses 100 bcm
China National Petroleum Corporation has announced that cumulative gas imports into China through Central Asian pipeline has crossed 100 billion cubic meters.
Central Asian gas pipeline connects Central Asia and China's gas pipeline network. Currently there are three lines, A, B and C, in operation while D line is also under construction.
The 1,000 km D line starts from Turkmenistan and would pass through Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and to reach China. Once complete it will have an annual capacity of 30 bcm.
Natural gas imports from Central Asia is now supplied to 25 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong.
