China's gas imports down 10% in January-October

China’s natural gas imports via pipeline and in the form of LNG during the 10 months of 2022 were 88.74mn metric tons (mn mt), down 10.4% year/year, the country’s customs department said on November 7.

The cost of imports during the January-October period was 36.34bn yuan ($5.04bn), up 42.1% yr/yr reflecting the spike in global gas prices.
