China May Hold Largest Shale Gas Reserves
China may hold upwards 20 percent of the world's total minable shale gas reserves.
The report published on the website of the Ministry of Land and Resources, would place China as holding world's largest minable shale gas reserves, at more than 36 trillion cu m.
The report said the world's minable shale gas reserves are estimated to reach 187 trillion cubic meters, with China, the United States, Argentina, Mexico and South Africa as the top five countries with the largest reserves.
