China Leason to Hike Liquefied CBM Output

China Leason CBM & Shale Gas Group plans to increase its liquefied coal-bed methane output at its Qinshui plant in Shanxi province to 900,000cbm/day by end of this year.

The company produces about 120,000cbm/day of liquefied coal-bed methane currently.

It has been considering expanding the capacity of its 500,000cbm/day Qinshui plant since 2011, but this was postponed several times because of insufficient feedstock supply.

China Leason is also building a pipeline connecting its Yangcheng project to its Qinshui plant and the pipeline is expected to come on line in the second quarter of 2012, the source said.

The Qinshui plant consumes mainly feedstock gas supplied by Qinshui Lanyan Coalbed Methane.
