China approves new LNG import terminal in Fujian
National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's highest planning body, has approved a new LNG import terminal in Fujian province, it said on February 16.
The terminal to be built by Hanas Group at the Meizhouwan port in Fujian province will have a receiving capacity of 5.65mn metric tons/year and will cost 5.26bn yuan ($829.8mn), NDRC said in a statement. The terminal will have one berth and two storage tanks each with a capacity of 200,000 m3.

NDRC said the terminal will further enhance the natural gas supply and storage capacity of Fujian province and its surrounding areas.
