Focus: Protest against shale gas exploration to take place at Durankulak checkpoint on Bulgarian-Romanian border

A protest against shale gas exploration is to take place at Durankulak checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Romanian border, announced Sintia Nedyalkova with the civil initiative committee.

Protestors from the northeastern city of Dobrich are to start their rally at 9:00 a.m. local time from Saint George city park to the border with Romania. The protest is to take place at 12:00 p.m. local time at Durankulak border checkpoint.

The protest is to support Romanians who are also against shale gas exploration and production in the region of Dobrudzha, on the Romanian territory.  MORE
