Focus: End consumers will not feel a drop of their heating bills

End consumers will not feel a drop in their heating bills due to the 11% discount in the price of Russian gas for Bulgaria, the BNT reported in an evening news broadcast. The reason is that the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) has maintained the prices so far. The Economy and Energy Minister Delyan Dobrev commented that with the discount at least there would not be any shocking surges in the prices in winter. The long-awaited discount will not only not cause a reduction of the Bulgarian consumers’ bills, but could be less than the forecast USD 115 million for Bulgargaz.  MORE
