BP, Enagas Promote LNG, CNG as Fuel in Spain

BP and Spain's Enagas have teamed up to promote the use of LNG and compressed natural gas (CNG) as transport fuel in Spain, Enagas said on July 2. Under an agreement signed by the pair, Enagas will develop points for LNG and CNG sale at BP filling stations.

The partners will also work together to produce and encourage the consumption of renewable gases in the country, and promote entrepreneurship and innovation projects, Enagas said. BP will acquire the biomethane produced by Enagas' subsidiary Bioengas, and will also assist in creating a national market for the purchase and sale of this product.
