Bosnia, Serbia Pen Deal on Gas Pipe
Serbia's state-owned gas firm Srbijagas announced on March 16 it had signed an agreement with Bosnia gas distributor Gas-Res on building a 410-km gas pipeline linking the two countries.
The pipeline will run from Indjija in north Serbia to Bosnia's Novi Grad town, passing through 320 km of territory in the Serb Republic, one of two politically autonomous regions in Bosnia. It will carry up to 1.2bn m3/year of gas.

The project's main purpose is to provide Bosnia will access to gas supplies arriving in Serbia via the Balkan Stream, an extension of Russia's TurkStream pipeline that passes through Bulgaria and Serbia and ends in Hungary. Bosnia also signed a memorandum last year with Croatia on a cross-border pipeline, which would give the country access to alternatives to Russian gas supply via the Krk LNG terminal.
