AWE's Perth Basin Tight Gas Well Doubles Gas Flow

AWE Limited has said that gas flow from Senecio-2 tight gas well in Perth Basin is now flowing twice the amount of gas initially measured. Gas flow has risen to 1 million cubic feet of gas per day.

Well head pressure continues to increase while the flow of fracture stimulation fluids to the surface has dropped to minor amounts and the company’s forward plan is to shut in the well to conduct pressure build up tests and to then connect up production test equipment to enable accurate measurement of gas and fluid flow from the reservoir in addition to obtaining downhole pressure data for a full reservoir evaluation.

Origin Energy’s holds 50% interest in the well.
