AWE Completes Woodada Deep 1 Well Hydraulic Fracking Exercise

AWE Limited has completed hydraulic fracture stimulation of the first two zones in the Woodada Deep -1 well, targeting the Middle Carynginia and Upper Carynginia shale formations. 

Initial well clean-up and flow back from the two zones commenced on 10 August with some gas recovered and flared during the operation

As on 12 August, flowback from the well was continuing at declining water rates and nitrogen lift was being used on the well.

Measurement of gas flow rates will not be able to be made until clean-up and flow back of the well has been completed, which is expected during the next week. The forward plan is to continue clean up and flow back operations, collect gas samples for analysis and measure production data.
