Australia exports record LNG in October: EnergyQuest
Australian projects exported a record 7.23mn metric tons of LNG in October, up 3.9% month/month, energy consultant EnergyQuest said on November 15.
EnergyQuest estimates that Australian LNG export revenue increased in October to A$5.21bn ($3.83bn), up from A$4.90bn in September and up by 188% on October 2020.

West coast shipments increased to 5.1mn mt in October compared with 4.9mn in September. East coast shipments increased to 2.1mn mt in October, unchanged month/month, EnergyQuest said.
Meanwhile, EnergyQuest said that the biggest challenge for Australian LNG was not net zero, as the country has already delivered carbon-neutral LNG.
“The challenge is insufficient gas reserves. While everyone is focused on possible hydrogen exports, there is a risk of neglecting LNG, something in which Australia is already a world leader,” it said.
