Aussie east coast LNG exports up 5% in Sep
LNG exports from the three projects on the Australian east coast came in at 1.93mn metric tons in September, up 4.9% year/year, according to the data published by Gladstone Ports Corp. on October 6.
China was the biggest buyer and imported 969,946 metric tons (mt) of LNG, down from 1.22mn mt in the same month last year. South Korea imported 271,575 mt of LNG, down from 363,219 mt. Japan imported 254,224 mt of LNG, up from 66,183 mt in the same period last year, the data showed. Malaysia imported 244,587 mt versus 64,113 mt while Singapore bought 193,249 mt of LNG, up from 60,650 mt.

The three east coast projects are APLNG, Gladstone LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG. In the 12 months to June 30, these projects exported a record 23mn mt of LNG.
