Aussie east coast LNG exports down 3% in June
LNG exports from the three projects on the Australian east coast came in at 1.78mn metric tons (mt) in June, down 3.3% year/year, Gladstone Port Corp. said on July 6. The exports were down 2.7% month/month.
Exports to China were down 26.2% yr/yr to 858,456 mt. South Korea imported 357,018 mt of LNG versus 287,758 mt last year. Exports to Japan were 240,670 mt, up from 66,665 mt in the same month of last year.

Interestingly, last month the east coast projects supplied 71,931 mt of LNG to Switzerland and 132,623 mt of LNG to Chile, Gladstone Port Corp said.
The three east coast projects are Australia Pacific LNG, Gladstone LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG. LNG exports from the three projects came in at a record 23.47mn mt in 2021, up 4.96% yr/yr.
