Aussie east coast LNG exports down 12% in March
LNG exports from the three projects on the Australian east coast in March came in at 1.74mn metric tons, down 12.4% year/year, Gladstone Port Corp. said on April 6. The exports were down 6.4% month/month.
Exports to China were 974,903 mt, down from 1.13mn mt in the previous year. The data showed that the east coast projects exported 226,041 mt to South Korea, down from 416,778 mt last year. Exports to Japan were 187,657 mt, up from 183,386 mt. Malaysia shipped in 248,238 mt of LNG, up from 186,657 mt last year, the data showed.

The three east coast projects are Australia Pacific LNG, Gladstone LNG, and Queensland Curtis LNG. LNG exports from these projects came in at 22.64mn mt in 2022, down from a record 23.47mn mt in 2021.
