APLNG Q1 Revenue Up 7%
Australian gas and power retailer, Origin Energy, said October 31 that Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) revenue for the three months to September 30 (Q1 2020) rose 7% year on year owing to higher prices and increase LNG volumes.
The company's Q1 revenue was A$688mn (US$474mn) as against A$640.5mn in the year-ago period. APLNG output stood at 66.5 petajoules, up 3% year on year, Origin said.
APLNG (a joint venture comprising Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec) is Australia’s largest producer of coalbed methane and supplies gas to Queensland’s domestic gas market, while also processing coalbed methane into LNG for exports.
The APLNG facility shipped a total of 31 LNG cargoes in Q1, two more than in the same quarter of last year, Origin said.
