Ancala Lands Zennor UK Processing Contract

Ancala Midstream Acquisitions has secured a life-of-field contract to process the gas sourced from the Finlaggan field owned by Zennor Pathway, the two firms said September 5. The gas will be processed through Ancala Midstream’s Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (Sage) terminal at St Fergus.

The multi-million-pound contract with Zennor will help ensure the Sage system remains a competitive option for further UK and Norwegian gas developments through to the mid-2030s, as former major fields such as Britannia wind down.

Ancala Midstream was established by Ancala Partners, the independent, mid-market infrastructure investment manager, as a platform to make and manage investments in North Sea midstream oil and gas infrastructure.

Ancala Midstream CEO Jim Halliday said the offer had “facilitated the optimum development of the field and delivery of the Oil and Gas Authority’s objective of maximising economic recovery from the North Sea.”

Securing the Finlaggan contract follows the development of other sources of gas from the Beryl area through the Sage system. The Beryl pipeline is owned and operated by Ancala (61%) with Chrysaor (39%).

Ancala Midstream has grown its inventory of contracted gas volumes by some 250bn ft³ since taking operatorship of Sage system, demonstrating its commitment to offering reliable service and competitive terms to customers in the catchment area.
