Algeria Increases Scope of LNG Cooperation with Turkey
Algeria extended for additional ten year its existing LNG supply contract with Turkey.
The deal was signed by Algeria’s Energy Ministry Youcef Yousfi and his Turkish counterpart Taner Yildiz.
The two countries signed the contract 20 years ago. The extension agreed this week also include a 50% increase in supplied volumes.
According to Algeria Press Service, Minister of Energy and his Turkish counterpart discussed the possibility of expanding the bilateral energy cooperation to the fields of exploration, fertilizers, petrochemical and renewable energy.
