Aksa Enerji to develop gas power plant in Kazakhstan
Turkish power company Aksa Enerji has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kazakh government to develop a gas-based power plant in the country, it said in a stock exchange filing on April 26.
The MoU outlines plans for the construction of a 500 MW natural gas combined cycle power plant in Shymkent.
Aksa Enerji has three gas-based power plants in neighboring Uzbekistan. These plants are situated in the cities of Tashkent and Bukhara.
