Aker BP said July 11 it had encountered a small gas deposit with its Storjo exploration well in Norwegian Sea production licence 261.
Storjo is located close to Aker BP's existing Skarv gas field. It is thought to contain a recoverable gas potential of between 25mn and 80mn barrels of oil equivalent.
